Workshop description: There are several ways to build a perspective drawing . Through a rigorous and classical method of perspective (horizontal line, vanished point, drawing basic and pure volumes) or fluid line that works as a link between the forms and background. The linear exploration leads us to find new possibilities in terms of knowing, it is a kind of game in which the forms are in a link no matter the distance or the visual plane in which they are. To paraphrase Paul Klee: "The line is a point that took a walk" and in this sense that in this proposal we will work on the idea of a fluid line, continuous, that communicates with the space in a dynamic and organic way.
The first approaches are made in a small visual sector and its immediate environment working on the line almost like a doodle. This approach will work as a way to get the proportions of objects ( buildings, bicycles, bridges, people, etc.) and their connection with the immediately environment, where we try not to start the drawing by contours but by the mass. This section becomes necessary and fundamental.
In the second part we will talk about synthesis. That same idea of the LINEFLOW, a cleaner line than the first approach, however without losing the idea of synthesis, recording the essential. This same synthesis will help create connections between an object and its context, flattening the image (closing one eye!) To "hold" all forms.
Last part but not least, we will work on the idea of personal gesture. Surely we can feel comfortable with a certain way of drawing. But why not openning our minds to new ways of drawing? For example, working with a fixed routine could mean that we lose new ways of expression. In this part we will use different types of lines, brands, rhythms, marks and graphics are proposed and use it like new personal tools. Furthermore, when applying liquid color media (watercolor ) we can create stains with much movement and not necessarily the exact fill color space to allocate objects. It may be a stain in the sky , the environment or energy of a street.
